| Again, no updates in quite a while ^^; Internet Explorer had decided that it hates Xanga and doesn't want it to work, but I recently got Flock, which will let me open Xanga without everything shutting down, so...yeah. We spent Thanksgiving at my grandma's house in Kansas City. My cousins Erica and Zack weren't there, Zack was skiing in Colorado -.- and Erica was in Greenbay. I found out that my supersmart cousin Emily had just graduated high school, and at the same time she also got her Associate's degree, having completed two years of college. We watched the Chiefs and Broncos game on Thanksgiving...the Chiefs won, which I suppose is nice, since we were in Kansas City at time. I really don't like football... My crazy aunts, grandma and mom went out to shop on Friday, and my dad got up at 3 in the morning to try to get me one of 10 $375 laptops at Best Buy, with their original price $800, so they were really nice for a cheap price. But when he got there two hours before the store opened, the line was already like two blocks long. Insane people must have gotten there at like midnight and just not slept. On the news the next day, they were saying this one girl got there at 8 pm (when the store opened at 5 am) to get a plasma tv. While the crazy people were shopping, my dad and I went to the Plaza and I took lotsa pictures On Saturday, we shocked ourselves and everyone else...we were intending on just stopping by Target and getting my cousins some presents, and on the way there we stopped by Petco. An animal shelter had some dogs for adoption right outside, and, of course, we looked at them...and then fell in love with a (mostly) border collie. My mom, Kelly and me managed to convince dad to let us get him ^_^ he was $95, me and Kelly paid for half of him. He is part regular collie, mostly border collie though, he is five years old and really, really sweet. He haven't even heard him bark yet, even though Rosie's been being mean to him and has growled a lot. Doodle is a little scared and hisses sometimes, but he's doing alright...Chewy attacked him, and Annabelle doesn't know what to think. We all love him though ^^ His name is Carter...not exactly the name we would have chosen, but oh well

| I haven't updated this forever...
Last weekend we went on the most miserable camping trip. My parents thought that the storm would go around us, and, of course, it ididn't. It rained and thundered the entire night and our tent got flooded. There was a huge puddle on my side, and on Kallie's side, her coat was literally floating in a puddle of water. And then it was too cold to go canoeing, so we went to see a cave instead, after spending the entire morning huddled around a pathetic little campfire. Here's a pic of the view from our camp site...it's really, really pretty up there

Today is Doodle, my cat and Johnny's, my mom's friend's son, birthday. It went pretty well...until Kallie informed me of what had happened at around 2:30. She IMed me and told me that Kwizera drowned...that he was dead. I didn't believe her at first, but I looked at the news sites and watched the news, and they said that a 15 year old boy drowned today...this is so horrible >< I was friends with him, we sat together in art for all of last semester. We talked and joked and he helped me with my drawings and coloring, and we made fun of each other and he drew me pictures and gave me some of the ones he had already done that I liked...We were all talking with DuPont about how great of an artist Kwizera will be when he grows up, like the next Da Vinci or something. He could draw amazing pictures in a matter of minutes...I remember he hated it when we did painting because that took a long time, since he had to wait for the paint to dry before he could continue with the painting. He liked using chalk pastel though...the flower that he did was in the art show...

| meh...good mood gone...
We played soccer in spanish and german today, for a 'cultural experience'. I myself didn't play, I just watched, but it was somewhat amusing. It would have been more fun if we hadn't been out there for the entire block period, an hour and a half. Our class/team did really well. We had Dan, who is from Norway and an awesome soccer player, James and Brent, and I think they're both on the varsity team...they're both really good, and then Molly. She wasn't on the varsity team, I don't think, but she is on one of the soccer teams. Cameron plays soccer too..but she wasn't there, and neither was Michael. It definitely would have been more fun if they had been there too. After having Michael in my class for both semesters, it doesn't seem like Spanish class without him sitting there jabbering away the whole period and arguing with the teacher.
I went to Barnes and Noble on Saturday, and spent like $40, but half of it I paid for with a gift card I got from my cousin. I bought a journal, The Seventh Scroll, and two big hardcover, nonfiction-ish books, 100 Strangest Mysteries and 100 of the World's Most Beautiful Cities. And I still have to read the massive one about Egypt that Andria got me...
| Haven't updated forever, as usual...nothing very interesting has happened. For Easter Break, which was four days, I went to Andria's house on Friday with Tai and we all watched extra features on Queen of the Damned, a few parts of The Last Live and one of hide's dvds, and then we watched Interview with the Vampire. Andria was deprived and hadn't seen the movie before. On Saturday, I was dragged to my aunt's house for a family get together thing for Easter. My cousin, Joey, who's the same age as me, got a girlfriend and we met her...she seemed nice, but I didn't really talk to her at all. Andria got me this huge book about Ancient Egypt...it like weighs more than my cat.
We've started Romeo and Juliet in English..it's a very interesting unit. And Shedek seems to think she has even more of an excuse to assign a ton of homework. Block algebra was actually fun this week. Our teacher was gone...and the sub like didn't show up, so we were pretty much teacher-less. We actually got the project done, though, shockingly...and I got my homework done during class, so I'm happy ^^ no math homework, for once.
We had Creative Writing today and it lasted a while, until like six. Brittany and Ashley were there for a little while, but they had to leave, so most of the time it was just me, Andria, Nick and Tasha..and those are like my closest friends in the club, so it was pretty fun, especially considering they're all like creative geniuses. Tasha and Nick both write awesome poetry and they're fun to talk to, though sometimes they (particularly Nick) can somehow end up making themselves sound like idiots. Like Nick will be talking in a sophisticated way with big, poetic words and everything, and the next moment he'll say something so...unrefined. I got called a breadstick today...all three of them were randomly hugging me >_< and Tasha said I was like as skinny as a breadstick one time, then she was making a big deal about how skinny my arms were. She also forced me to eat a piece of lettuce, which I hate, I ended up having to spit it out in the trash. Andria kept stealing my sketchbook, she's developed a stupid obsession with my drawings -.- especially one that I really hate, I completely screwed the arm up. Nick had this awesome little journal thing, with random doodles and writing in it, and he was the coolest handwriting, it looks like old fashioned, cursive calligraphy...or something like that. It's really pretty . We all really liked the random doodling, and the three of us pretty much commissioned him to do us little drawings with writing on it.
I want to get a journal now...for ramblings (even worse than my xanga entries) and for taking notes on anything that catches my interest. I have a $20 gift card to spend at Barnes and Noble...I need to make my mom take me there this weekend, so I can get a journal and a book to read. I finished both of the Wilbur Smith books about Ancient Egypt, and he has another one dealing with Egypt, but it isn't really in Ancient Egypt and it won't have Taita in it >< If anyone is looking for a book to read, I'd recommend River God, by Wilbur Smith, and then Warlock is its sequel ^^
(I have whipped cream pocky! yummy)
| It was Toshiya's birthday yesterday ^_^ Only two days after mine, and like a month after the birthdays of seventy five percent of the rest of the band. All of their birthdays are close together...it's weird
I'm addicted to Kingdom Hearts again. Though, shockingly, Kelly has been playing it more than me and is further. Oh well, she'll eventually get too frusterated with it and stop. She has real issues when it comes to realizing that it's just a game and that screaming at the tv screen is not going to help anything. They've shown Kairi a little bit, but they've hardly shown Riku, and the one time they did show a new scene of him it was like a memory...and you couldn't see his eyes ><
